Video Postcard #5: Our First Visitors

We're so grateful to have hosted our first visitors!

Thank you, Andrew and Michael. :-)

Did you know that Monticristi Ecuador is the home of the Panama Hat? They're from here, but their name is from the fact that they were worn during the building of the Panama Canal.

Also, we have coffee here! The beans are roasted oceanside. There's desert and rain forest within 20 miles of each other.

Fun Fact: Ecuadorians burn effigies of themselves (or cartoon characters) on New Year's Eve. Also!

Isla de la Plata is known as the 'Poor Man's Galapagos', and is home to one of the largest populations of Blue-footed Boobies in the world, outside of the Galapagos.
