Video Postcard #2: Settling In in Manta

Recorded on August 8th, we wanted to give you a quick update on how things are going! Apartment, Sunsets, and Food!

That said, on the night of August 9th, Presidential Candidate Fernando Villavicencio was assassinated in Quito (about an 8 hour drive from us).

This sad news is reflective of the political challenges Ecuador is facing right now. Although concerned, we continue to feel safe in our community...and gun violence here continues to pale in comparison in the US.
